Spike TV revs up new auto series
By James Hibberd
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Spike TV is gearing up for an auto-themed series that combines sports celebrities and their cars.
With a concept that's somewhere in between MTV's "Pimp My Ride" and "Cribs," "Unique Autosports: Miami" will roll out on February 28.
The male-skewing cable network ordered eight-episode half-hour episodes. Stars will include NBA player LeBron "King" James; hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs; members of the 2009 World Series champion New York Yankees NASCAR driver/owner Tony Stewart; hip-hop artist Fat Joe; and others.
