POMPANO BEACH, Fla., May 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- O2 Media, an award-winning broadcast media production company and leader in Branded Entertainment, announced today the appointment of George Bayer as Vice President of Direct Response, Incredible Discoveries, reporting to Dr. Thomas C. Deters, President and CEO.
Bayer joins the O2 Media team where he brings more than 20 years of international experience in broadcast channel management/launch, e-commerce, VOD, network operations, on-air creative, and brand development, working with top Fortune companies including: ABC, CBS, NBC, Disney, PBS, HSN, Discovery, Comedy Central, BBC, MTV, Sony, Sky, Virgin Records, Avon cosmetics, NHK, and Orbit Showtime (OSN).
Bayer's first order of business in his new role is to lead the Incredible Discoveries team at the National Hardware Show May 6-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth 4247.
Previously, Bayer served as COO of TV Goods Inc., TVGoods Europe, and AsSeenOnTV.com where he expanded distribution to include e-commerce marketplaces Groupon and Local.com, and was responsible for over 500 infomercials with many successes under his belt. Prior to that, Bayer served as Vice President of TV Creative at the Home Shopping Network (HSN) where he led the production of over 1,000 original content projects.
Bayer earned a BFA and MFA in Film and Video from the California Institute of the Arts.
