Winchester, VA (PRWEB) March 26, 2014
April 2nd, YummyArts.com will release their recently filmed video demonstration of a cake made using Icing Images DECOgel, featuring renowned cake decorators Peggy Tucker, Certified Master Sugar Artist and School of Cakeology, and Susan Carberry, The Cake Cottage and TLCs Ultimate Cake Off winner.
The educational video teaches Yummy Arts members to create a cake decorated with DECOgel and Icing Images iDesigns. The cakes theme is From Paris with Love, a romantic, 3-tiered cake decorated in pink and black using a number of different decorating techniques with DECOgel. The video was shot in high definition and will be added to the YummyArts.com Library, and available in the YummyArts store that same day. For more information visit http://www.YummyArts.com/DECOgel.
Susan Carberry and Peggy Tucker are incredibly talented, world-class cake decorators with an infectious, lively dynamic. But, what makes this particular video an absolute joy to watch is how much FUN they have demonstrating everything! Theyre like two kids playing with a new toy, sharing with their best friend. Michael Prudhomme, Yummy Arts.
YummyArts.com is a cookie and cake decorating website that produces how-to videos featuring some of the most talented cake and cookie decorators in the world.
From the top of the cake to the bottom, students will learn to create a cast Isomalt monogram made with an iDesign and trimmed in a DECOgel border that matches the border around the base of the top cake tier. The chandelier feature above the middle tier is created with DECOgel pearls. The middle layer features a cake wrapped in an iDesign, decorated with DECOgel pearls and pulled sugar street lamps. The bottom layer is completely decorated in DECOgel from the molded decorations to the ruffle combined with an iDesign print.
The flexibility of the DECOgel is amazing, especially for the pearls hanging from the chandelier. I can't think of any other product that can work as well for such an application. One of my other favorite items on the cake is the ruffle on the bottom. It's so cool that you can place DECOgel on the top of the iDesign and then peel it off when dry to have an awesome design that is so flexible, - Susan Carberry.
DECOgel is a gelatin-based decorating medium that is melted and either poured or molded to create decorations. The product comes in transparent colors and white, offering both a see through and opaque finish to either mimic the translucent Isomalt or the matte finish of fondant and gum paste.
The combination of Icing Images Premium Icing Sheets with Isomalt and DECOgel blends beautifully to create any cake theme. Peggy Tucker.
The upcoming video pairs DECOgel with iDesigns, a collection of over 1600 prints licensed for edible use that are printed in edible ink on Icing Images Premium Icing Sheets for use in decorating cakes and other desserts. Cake decorators use iDesigns to cover the sides of cakes, cut into a wide variety of decorations and, more recently, to create a stained glass effect with DECOgel.
All throughout March, the product has been featured in classes offered by professional cake decorators throughout the U.S. This coming weekend, the product will be demonstrated at the National Capital Area Cake Show in Fairfax, Virginia and the Atlantic Bakery Dairy Deli Expo in Atlantic City, NJ.
March 31, Tucker will be teaching students how to create animal print flowers at the ISAC's Spring Open House at Nicholas Lodge's Classroom using the Sweet Accents machine and iDesigns prints on Premium Icing Sheets from Icing Images.
Icing Images has been a leading distributor of edible photo and edible paper art supplies for over a decade, offering edible ink printers, edible ink, icing sheets, electronic and manual die cutters, and DECOgel to retail bakeries, home bakers and cake decorators.
