Academy Award Nominee for the Original Robocop Officially Retires from Hollywood to Focus on New Career at Age 65

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 27, 2014

For nearly 42 years, Robert Wald spent his work days surrounded by motion picture sound equipment, recording literally hundreds of actors during his career, filming countless commercials, television shows, and movies. In the process, he received an Academy Award nomination for his work on the original 1987 Robocop movie, and an Emmy nomination for the critically acclaimed TV mini-series, The Kennedys of Massachusetts. Robert also enjoys the honor of being a voting member of both the Television Academy and the Motion Picture Academy.

In 2012, Robert made a decision that drastically changed his plans for an easy retirement. After suffering with chronic back pain for years, Robert remembered his friends invention, The Body Archer, which she had roughly conceived nearly twenty years ago. She had only used her model with a handful of her massage therapy clients, and had eventually lost interest in marketing her idea. But, Robert knew that her brilliant invention could save too many lives from the agony of living with back pain.

I personally experienced the back pain relief The Body Archer brought me. After working with a woodworker to make some safety improvements to her original design, it became immediately obvious that this could be a really enjoyable and fulfilling retirement business To make The Body Archer available to millions of other people struggling with back pain.

But, to fully commit to being an entrepreneur at sixty-five after a successful Hollywood career?

Thats why I teamed up with my twenty-six year old partner, Kim MacKenzie, Robert says with a laugh, I wanted someone with a fitness background who could also speak the movie lingo. Kim is also a producer, screenwriter, and actress. Plus, she understands online marketing and looks much better on camera than an old guy like me!

Even though Robert and Kim have an unconventional partnership, theres no doubt that whatever they are doing is working. Since their launch in March 2013 at the LA Marathon Health and Fitness Expo, The Body Archer has been featured in Pilates Style Magazine, The Health Talk, Miami Herald, NPR, and other news outlets across America, not to mention recommended by some of Americas top orthopedic surgeons.

In the words of successful entrepreneur, Arianna Huffington, co-Founder of The Huffington Post, Having a partner definitely allows you to take more risks. For The Body Archer team of Robert Wald and Kim MacKenzie, that couldnt be more true. Because of his partnership with Kim, Robert feels confident enough to retire from motion pictures.

Ive already had success on Hollywoods terms. Its now time to experience success with my own business," Robert declares, "Goodbye, Hollywood. Hello, American Dream!"

The Body Archer was invented by a California certified massage therapist and has been developed for the retail market by Body Archer LLC founders Robert Wald & Kim MacKenzie to help millions of Americans relieve and prevent back pain. The doctor recommended Body Archer is handcrafted in the companys home base of Los Angeles, California using high quality materials to create their thick comfortable foam arch, reinforced, sturdy wood undercarriage, anti-slip rubber rocking surfaces and antibacterial fabric. The companys mission is to produce an American made product that helps people relieve back pain and educate consumers on the benefits of maintaining a strong core, a flexible body and spine, and a healthy, balanced life.
