Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) February 11, 2014
A Lifetime of Leadership and Creativity
In 1987, he and partner Larry Norris moved to Birmingham to expand the Birmingham office into a full service agency, after initially working together in the company's Mobile office. The Birmingham office quickly gathered steam when they were chosen to work with EDPA; a newly formed collaborative effort among over 70 Alabama companies to recruit corporations to re-locate to Alabama. Their efforts contributed to Alabama recruiting major car companies such as Mercedes Benz, Hyundai and Toyota and helped transform the state into a top 5 contender for all economic development nationwide. Because of this and other financial, insurance and healthcare client acquisitions the Birmingham office soon became Lewis's largest office.
Till's passion, creativity and mentoring skills quickly attracted other top creative talent, as well as the business of major regional and national accounts such as Home and Garden Television Network, Tiffin Motor Homes, Entergy Corporation and Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Over the years Lewis has grown to become one of the most creatively-acclaimed independent agencies in the Southeast, with 100 employees across three offices in Birmingham, Nashville and Mobile. His work has been recognized by Communication Arts, The One Show, the New York Art Directors annual, Graphis magazine, the Clio Awards, the Mercury Awards, the Aster Awards and numerous local and regional Best of Show finishes, as well as national Addy Awards.
Till's creative prowess has a track record of reinventing what is considered possible in previously staid industries. The agency's ongoing relationship with Red Bay, AL based Tiffin Motorhomes has helped the company become the nation's top selling class A motor home brand.
Equally impressive is Till's track record in guiding the agency towards becoming a national expert in health care marketing. His passion for research and strategy to unearth key consumer insights have led the agency to successful long-term relationships with some of the nation's top teaching hospitals, including Vanderbilt, Duke, the University of Virginia, and Wake Forest.
Till was also chosen for his passionate pro bono efforts to transform Shelby County Schools, fundraising for Shelby County and Jefferson County Humane Societies, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, the Red Cross and lately, some equally worthy causes such as the Joseph School, which is training a new generation of leaders for earthquake-ravaged Haiti, and The Wellhouse, a Birmingham-based organization working to rescue women from sex trafficking.
"I am honored to be given this award, especially in the light of the level of creative talent we now have in Birmingham" Till said, "when that level of talent honors you, it really means something. I would put the efforts of this town up against the best of the best in communications nationwide."
