Industry Analyst Jeff Kagan on New AT&T Mobile Share Value Plan for Families and Small Business

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 01, 2014

AT&T introduced a new service today, Saturday Feb 1, according to their press release in the Wall Street Journal. They call it their best-ever prices for families and small businesses.

Industry analyst Jeff Kagan offers comment.

AT&T really seems to be turning up the heat on competition and low pricing. They are one of a very few. However, I sense this is the new direction the wireless industry will go in from now on. This offer extends the idea of low prices for families or small businesses and takes it to new levels. Customers should love this, says Tech analyst Jeff Kagan.

I would guess as a next step, competitors will look closely and decide their next steps. I can see this idea spreading eventually. The wireless world has been all about innovation over the last five years, but it looks like its also going to be about new plans and saving money going forward. The wireless world goes through these industry reshaping changes every 5 to 7 years. Its just time for the next wave of change, says Technology analyst Kagan.

This seems like a win-win for everyone. I helps both families or small businesses save money, and it helps AT&T protect and grow their customer base, says Principal analyst Kagan.

AT&T says this is available to any of their customers, including small businesses with up to 10 lines, and also customers of Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and other wireless carriers as well who switch to AT&T.

AT&T says they have a site to help customers learn more about these new plans and determine the best plan for them. Its at http://www.att.com/mobilesharesavings.

It is getting very interesting to see how AT&T is radically changing how wireless is priced and how we pay for it. The price has never been more reasonable, and I get the sense that we are still just in the very early innings of this new game. So far it looks like AT&T and T-Mobile have started down this path. I expect to see others join them as well, says Kagan.
