Various genre-specific packages include: News, Christianity, Sports and Islamic channels from a global perspective. Access to programming in English, Spanish, Arabic, Italian Dutch, French, Greek/Cypriot, Norwegian, Portuguese, Turkish, as well as many other languages, is provided via the Global IPG App. Specific countries from where broadcasting originates include: Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Lebanon, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
"We are gearing up to become a dominant player in the global internet television marketplace. And we are pleased to release our new Global IPG application for iOS devices as one of our key steps to reaching that goal," said Mark Cavicchia, CEO and Founder of WhereverTV. "The Global IPG should be best thought of as an aggregator and organizer of the numerous free channels already available online directly from broadcasters around the world that is easy to use, without fear of pop-ups, malware or endless advertisements. At only $4.99 per month, we consider our Global IPG App to be an entry level app for some users, but for millions of individuals with an international perspective, this programming may very well be considered their primary or on-the-go source of television access in their native language. WhereverTV's Global IPG App is a low cost solution for many without traditional cable or satellite service," he added.
Cisco Systems has predicted that Internet TV will be more popular than Facebook and Twitter by 2017, reaching nearly 2 billion users. With more than 700 million iOS devices in people's hands and with more than 14 million AppleTV devices connected to TV sets around the world today, iOS is a cornerstone to WhereverTV's patented Global IPG application distribution strategy.
