Apple's rumored 5.5-inch iPhone 6 could be delayed as far as 2015. According to KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is having trouble with the device's new metal casing and its new in-cell touchscreen, which combines several layers into one for a thinner and lighter design. The problems affect both (rumored) upcoming iPhones, the 4.7-inch and the 5.5-inch models, but are more serious with the larger device. Kuo is also concerned about the scratch-resistant sapphire glass cover that is rumored to adorn the 5.5-inch iPhone 6, fearing that it might not "pass the drop test near term." All these issues might push the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 to the fourth quarter of 2014 — or even to 2015.
