Sharing the Power of Hightail
Digital Studio North by Northwest Uses Uplink to Help Clients Share Graphics and Other Large Files
June 05, 2014 --
CAMPBELL, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/05/14 -- Leading file sharing service Hightail today announced the general availability of Uplink. The feature, which gives Hightail users a personalized web link where clients and other partners can upload large files easily and securely, had previously only been available to beta users.
Digital studio North by Northwest (NXNW) has been bringing stories to life through film, video and the web for more than 20 years and uses Hightail to share large video files with clients. Uplink allows the company to receive files, even if their client isn't a Hightail user.
"Our clients often need to send us videos and/or high res graphics or company logos to include in their video," explains NXNW Producer/Director Steve Simkins. "But they don't always have an easy or secure way to do that. We can help by sending them to our unique Uplink page. They just drop the files there and we get an email as soon as they're uploaded."
Visitors to the page can use Hightail to share as many files, up to 2GB each, with the page owner without ever needing to register for a Hightail account themselves.
"We love Uplink because it allows us to solve another problem for our clients," adds Simkins. "It's like a guest pass. They get the benefits of our Hightail account. We get the files we need quickly and easily to help our clients tell the best possible story."
Uplink is available to all Hightail users with a Professional, Teams or Enterprise plan.
Hightail helps 45 million professionals around the world securely share and control files from anywhere.
