REMI Suggests Alternatives to Email for Realtors

January 24, 2013 --

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) January 24, 2013

The Real Estate Marketing Insider offered advice to realtors on how to replace email marketing for real estate in their strategy for advertising. REMIs announcement came in response to an Realty Biz's opinion piece in Reality Biz News which suggests that email marketing might be on its way out.

As the use of email in our daily lives changes, so does the role it plays in marketing. Joe Heath, opinion writer for Reality Biz News, wrote that he believes that email may be losing its power for marketing and advertising. Heath discussed the flood of promotional emails and spam that he receives from all sorts of companies, including credit card companies, sport teams, and even real estate agents, adding that, while that hasnt completely stopped, between the increased technology of spam filtering and the rise of social media, I find myself opening very few e-mail marketing messages. Heath says that as consumers shift their attention to other forms of advertising, the age of email marketing may be coming to a close.

REMI believes that agents should have a diverse marketing strategy that includes multiple forms of advertising. Consumers who may be losing interest in email marketing are not shying away from advertising, theyre just moving to different online communication tools. Consider social media, online TV commercials, and website-based advertising campaigns that can reach consumers directly over the internet. Whether email marketing dies down or not, these popular advertising methods can reach more online-savvy customers and influence their home buying decisions.

The Real Estate Marketing Insider released a response to an opinion piece in the Reality Biz News that suggests email marketing may begin to die out. The Insider recommended that realtors turn their attention to social media and website marketing to reach online customers, decreasing their reliance on email marketing.
