MAXON CINEMA4D R16
SIGGRAPH reveals a new version

My interest in MAXON is no mystery.  As a motion graphics animator in Hollywood, working in several major promo design and VFX houses, I've seen CINEMA4D become a staple in designers' pipelines. Each time a new version of CINEMA4D is released, 3D motion graphics designers and VFX artists get excited to see what MAXON has in store for us.  This year, R16 offers us a lot to be excited for.

The MAXON workflow has been adopted into Adobe's Creative Cloud pipeline through CINEMA4D Lite, but the standalone products also work well within After Effects, and, by extension Adobe's Photoshop and PremierePro as well.

The new release offers a long list of features that will interest artists from multiple disciplines on different levels.

At the top of the list, Rendering features will offer everyone's pipeline a welcomed update.  Probably the most anticipated feature is a new Team Render Server.  Most veteran CINEMA4D artists are familiar with MAXON's NET Render.  The new Team Render Server adds new functionality to help both new and seasoned artists render their work across multiple machines more efficiently.

For animators using Adobe's After Effects, the new release brings with it a new relationship between AE and C4D.  The new After Effects plugin now exports image based 3D layers.

According to the MAXON website, the software will be available in September.

If you're on MSA* you'll see the release soon.
