According to the BBC in the article Basingstoke Armed Robbery: CCTV Released by Police published on August 13, police have released an image which shows the robber threaten staff at a betting shop in Hampshire with a hammer. The images have been released as part of an appeal for witnesses of the incident.
The man in the CCTV images is shown entering the betting shop in Basingstoke on July 31 shortly before 21:00. Although no one was hurt during the incident, the perpetrator threatened staff and left with an unknown amount of money.
Alongside the release of a CCTV image, members of staff who were working at the time of the incident have spoken of their experience in an attempt to urge witnesses to offer information.
